What is it?
Let’s face it, being able to see out of your windows in a vehicle is pretty important, and none more so than the windscreen.
Car Gods Crystal Shield Rain Guard is specially formulated to improve visibility while driving. There are plenty of products out there that can repel water and dirt, such as waxes and sealants, but the main aspect of a windscreen is to provide a clear view of where you’re heading, and none of the generic polishes will work well with wipers.
With nonspecific products, you can get smearing glass, juddering, or jumping wipers and even fogging up. Not to mention deteriorating wiper blades. That’s the reason Car Gods created such a product as Crystal Shield Rain Guard.
Based on safety alone, a dedicated rain repelling glass protector is essential for clear views ahead.
Why use it?
Cars get dirty when driving, and that’s a fact. It's all well and good to keep using the screen wash and wipers, but what if there was a product to help prolong the cleanliness and visibility of your windows? Well, there is. The specifically formulated liquid in Car Gods Crystal Shield, once applied, will help to repel dirt, water, sleet, snow, and grime from sticking.
When driving on the motorway, the shield will also prevent the water spotting and sitting on the glass leaving better visibility all round. Coupled with the dirt repelling technology, this leaves the driver with cleaner glass for longer.
In the winter months, the nano-film protecting the glass and headlights speeds up the washing process as dirt doesn’t stick so well, so it's already cleaner than it would be without the product. During summer the nano-protective film will also help bugs from sticking so this really is a product for all year round, and one that takes so little time to apply.
How to use it
This product couldn’t be easier to use. Simply apply a small amount to a microfibre cloth, or our favourite, the yellow applicator pad found in the Car Gods Hand Polish set and wipe over the glass or headlights in circular motions.
The circular motions ensure the product is completely covering the glass and bonding properly. It’s a runny liquid and spreads well with just a small amount so less is more with this one. This also means you get plenty of applications per bottle.
After the application, leave the Crystal Shield to haze and dry for a couple of minutes before buffing off with a clean microfibre, making sure no residue is remaining on the glass. It seems obvious but always lift the wipers and buff underneath to make sure everything is removed. No dust or smearing will be left behind, providing a clean polished looking glass, ready to battle the elements.
